U.S. Girls Announce New Album Heavy Light for March 2020 Release

Meg Remy led band U.S. Girls are back as the band has announced their new album Heavy Light will be due out March 6 via 4AD. The new record will consist of 13 brand new tracks including ‘Overtime,’ which the band also released today as its lead single. Check out the new tune and full tracklist below. The new album was produced by Remy and recorded live with 20 session musicians – including E Street Band saxophonist Jake Clemons, percussionist Ed Squires and Kritty Uranowski in Montreal’s acclaimed Hotel 2 Tango studio. Remy worked with co-writers Basia Bulat and Rich Morel to develop the heart of the record and was mixed by long-time collaborators Maximilian ‘Twig’ Turnbull, Steve Chahley and Tony Price. It also serves as the follow up to 2018’s critically acclaimed, high fidelity ranked album In A Poem Unlimited

Along with the album, they are set to hit the road in support of the record. The North American leg will commence with a sold out show in Toronto on February 15th, with other stops including Chicago, Kansas City, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. before concluding May 8th in Philadelphia. A full European leg has yet to be announced but a stand-alone show at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall will take place on October 14th. Fans can pre-order Heavy Light via 4AD, or sign up for early pre-sale access to the U.S. Girls Queen Elizabeth Hall, London show here.
