Peart sadly passed on January 7th after battling brain cancer for the past three years. He was 67 years old. Peart served as the drummer for the legendary band Rush. Known for hits such as “Closer to the Heart,” “Fly By Night” and “Tom Sawyer,” the band has played many sold-out shows and has released a whopping 19 albums, with Peart featured on 18 of them and the last being 2012’s Clockwork Angels. The following year, the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside Heart, Public Enemy, Randy Newman, Albert King and Donna Summer.
