The annual Summerfest music festival in Milwaukee, Wisconsin has announced its 2020 lineup featuring the likes of Justin Bieber, Halsey, Chvrches, Omar Apollo, Marilyn Manson and Ozzy Osbourne. Their sets will take place at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater at the festival, which is held as the main center for Summerfest.
Summerfest hosts a unique ticketing package, while the festival has a general admission/multi-day packages, these tickets cannot be used for shows held at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater, where a majority of the big name performers will play. Those who purchase a ticket for the American Family Insurance Amphitheater however will have access to the festival for the day they are attending their scheduled show,
Other stages/venues such as the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse, the Millier Lite Oasis and the BMO Harris Pavillion will be accessible via GA passes. The event will kick off on June 24 and will conclude on July 5, and is expected to host over 800 acts, over 1,000 performances and 12 stages throughout the event.
Omar Apollo and Chvrches will be the opening performers for Halsey, as they will serve as the openers for her upcoming Manic world tour, which will take place this summer across North America.
Manson is opening for Osbourne’s upcoming No More Tours 2. Osbourne will be releasing his next album some time this year, which was made with the help of producer Andrew Watt, who is famous for working with Post Malone. The heavy metal legend premiered a collaboration with Post Malone and Travis Scott titled “Take What You Want” last year.
UPDATE (1/29): Summerfest has added a few more names to its 2020 lineup. One of country music’s biggest rising stars, Chris Stapleton will be playing. Also added is Luke Bryan and Sheryl Crow.
UPDATE (02/06): Summerfest is quietly building up its stacked lineup with the additions of Guns ‘N Roses, Dave Matthews Band and country music singer Sam Hunt.
UPDATE (2/21): Summerfest has added more acts to its 2020 lineup. For rock fans, Blink-182 will be playing on June 28 – and if you’re not a fan of the pop-punk legends’ current iteration, there’s also opening acts Coheed and Cambria, The Used and grandson. Also announced are pop acts Khalid and Jessie Reyez.
