Members of The Body, Full of Hell and Lingua Ignota Form New Band Sightless Pit, Announce Debut Album Grave of a Dog and Share First Single “Kingscorpse”

Lee Buford of The Body, Kristin Hayter of Lingua Ignota and Dylan Walker of Full of Hell have teamed up to create a new band named Slightless Pit. The group has debuted a new single titled “Kingscorpse,” which will be featured on their upcoming album Grave of a Dog, due out February 21st.

“Kingscorpse” is an abrasive and hard hitting blend of electronic music and metal, featuring heavily distorted and blaringly loud synth lines, mixed in with screaming vocals. The track is complimented by eerie more melodic vocal lines and overlays, along with an IDM-styled beat throughout the entire track.

The Body and Full of Hell have collaborated in the past, and released two collaborative studio albums together, with he first One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache, coming out in 2016. They also released Ascending Mountain Of Heavy Light an experimental metal project the following year via Thrill Jockey.

Last year the body teamed up with Uniform to release EVERYTHING THAT DIES SOMEDAY COMES BACK, which was follow-up from both of the band’s previous collaborative project Mental Wounds Not Healing. The band is a duo comprised of Buford, who handles the drumming and programming and Chip King who serves as the band’s guitarist and vocalist.

Full of Hell debuted their most recent album release Weeping Choir last year as well. “With Weeping Choir, we see Full of Hell honing in on the ecstatic grindcore they’ve spent years developing, and it seems like it’ll only get better as time goes on,” mxdwn reviewer Cervante Pope explained.

Lingua Ignota released Caligula in 2019.
