The annual Bonnaroo music festival has announced its 2020 lineup featuring the likes of alternative metal band Tool, hip hop/R&B star Lizzo and pop artist Lana Del Rey. These performers will join many others at the Great Stage Park, in Manchester, Tennessee, for four nights held from June 11th to June 14th.
The first night will be a relatively small introduction event, hosting a special performance held by the Grand Ole Opry, the world’s most famous American country music stage concert in Nashville, Tennessee. Friday will see the likes of Tool, Miley Cyrus, Bassnectar, The 1975, Run The Jewels, Glass Animals, Young The Giant and Megan Thee Stallion. Saturday will host Lizzo, Flume, Oysterhead, Tenacious D, Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard and DaBab. Sunday’s lineup will close out the festival with Tame Impala, Lana Del Rey, Vampire Weekend, Leon Bridges and Young Thug.
Tool released their long awaited album Fear Inoculum last year, which ended a nearly 13 year long hiatus from the band. This latest project was a massive commercial success for the band, as it landed on the top spot of the Billboard charts upon its release.
Lizzo dropped her debut album Cuz I Love You last year as well, which was supported by singles such as “Tempo,” featuring Miss Elliott and “Juice.”
Lana Del Rey debuted her latest studio album release Norman Fucking Rockwell last year. “Her growth and unmatched sound are heard in every song and make it clear that Lana Del Rey will continue to be a pop symbol for years to come,” mxdwn reviewer Marianna Salcedo explained.
