Danish contemporary singer Agnes Obel has released the visuals for her new song “Broken Sleep.” The video pairs perfectly with the style of the composition; Obel sings with such beauty and ease, as the vocals compliment the effortless, flowing pace of the visuals.
The visuals shows Obel’s distorted profile singing the melody, while the image pans to different visual effects during the musical highlights of the song. The entire pace of the video has an eerie, yet satisfying tone that constantly invited the listener to continue watching and waiting to see what happens next.
Obel’s upcoming album, Myopia, is set to release this February, as “Broken Sleep” is the second single released released before the release of the album. “Island of Doom” was released in October of 2019, and will contribute to the overall feel of the album.
Agnes will be performing in Brooklyn on January 16th and 17th, as well as in Los Angeles on January 23rd and 24th, before crossing back over the Atlantic and back to Europe. You can purchase tickets to see the shows on Obel’s website.
