Lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of Machine Head Robb Flynn has announced that he has recorded a copvers album with his project Robb Flynn & Friends. While there is not a set release date for the project, the PRP states that it “seems the covers album in particular will be in the theme of his Robb Flynn & Friends live shows, which have seen him and various guests get together onstage.”

On his Facebook post Flynn also revealed that he had “Wrote / finished / created 7 new Machine Head songs,” which would be a follow-up from the band’s 2018 album release Catharsis. He revealed this and the covers album in a post recollecting his achievements of the year.

“In my experience, life is rarely about the major things, life is about the little accomplishments, ” Flynn stated. “A string of little things, and maybe made 1 or 2 big things that opened new doors to somewhere. And in our social media dominated society where we only show ‘the good side of life’, or ‘our best selfie’, or ‘our funnest moment’ and almost never show the bad or disheartening things, I think it’s important to be honest about the tough times.”

The band recently wrapped up their fall 2019 tour, and will be embarking on their winter 2020 tour this week. Their fall tour saw the band be joined by early members such as the group’s original drummer Chris Kontos and guitarist Logan Mader, who were part of the band’s lineup for their debut album.
