Heavy metal juggernauts Lamb of God have teased a new album on social media, with a video indicating that the project will likely receive a 2020 release date. While the upcoming project is yet to be titled, the new project will likely be the first record with drummer Art Cruz, who officially replaced Chris Adler in the outfit earlier this year.
The teaser video for this release show the band practicing in the studio with a black and white backdrop. Toward the end of the video, a title card sporting the band’s name is shown, while the post is captioned with the year 2020.
Lamb of God’s guitarist Mark Morton will be releasing a new solo EP next month titled Ether next month, which will host the likes of Lizzy Hale (Halestorm), Howard Jones (Killswitch Engage, Light the Torch), John Carbone (Moon Tooth) and Mark Morales (Sons of Texas). The first single from the project, titled “All I Had To Lose,” featuring Morales will be released on January 10th, while the rest of the project is also slated for a January release date.
“I’m thrilled to announce the upcoming release of my new, five song EP, Ether, on Rise Records! Once again, I’ve had the great pleasure of working with some amazingly talented artists and friends to assemble this collection of tunes, all of which feature a strong acoustic guitar component,” Morton explained in a press release. “Inspired by the acoustic sets I had the opportunity to perform last spring and summer in support of Anesthetic, I began writing some new songs to reflect that more mellow vibe. ”
