The annual Domination Festival has announced its 2020 lineup featuring the likes of The Original Misfits, Def Leppard and Opeth, who will perform at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City from May 1st and 2nd in 2020. The venue is a 4.304 km (2.674 mi) motorsport race track in Mexico City, Mexico, named after the world-famous racing drivers Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez. Last year’s festival hosted the likes of Halestorm, Alice Cooper and August Burns Red.
Despite the band’s lead vocalist Glenn Danzig stating that their will not be “many more,” Misfits shows in the future, the band have announced further shows such as this festival performance and a show in Philadelphia. Check out our review of The Original Misfits Los Angeles performance here.
Def Leppard recently announced a co-headlining tour with hair metal act Mötley Crüe, with support from along with fellow hair metal act Poison, and rock legend Joan, which is set to take place across the United States next summer. All of these acts are going to be performing at the Citizens Bank Park On August 16.
Opeth released In Cauda Venenum earlier this year. “Opeth does a good job with the flow of the album and, while most songs encompass slow and fast parts, “Minnets Yta” is the only song that keeps the same tempo and is placed in the middle of the album. Overall, In Cauda Venenum has hauntingly delicate feel due to the classical and acoustic moments as well as the choices taken vocally. With thirteen albums under their belt, fans will have to see what they produce next,” mxdwn reviewer Erin Winans explained.
