Brazilian heavy metal band Sepultura has just announced their Spring 2020 tour dates with Sacred Reich and Crowbar, according to Nuclear Blast America. The band will be touring following the release of their 15th studio album, Quadra, and will cover 29 dates, as of right now.
Although the band formed in the mid 1980’s, Sepultura has continued to impact the metal genre for decades. Their latest studio album, Quadra, displays the band’s continuous ability to adjust their music with varying times and circumstances, as the album plays off of the word quadra, meaning playground in Portuguese, and demonstrates how different playgrounds affect people’s differing views on music, and on life.
In the past year, Sepultura has faced international backlash, and was banned form performing live in Lebanon due to their satanic rhetoric that is used in their songs. Despite this fact, and despite the fact that the band has dealt with constant lineup changes, Sepultura had remained steadfast in their approach and style.
