Mumford & Sons Debut Music Video for Alt-Folk Single “Blind Leading the Blind”

Mumford & Sons released a new video for “Blind Leading the Blind” which is a heartfelt and genuine track of authentic proportion. The video showcases Marcus Mumford going all out in a drum solo where he sits alone in a large empty parking lot. His tenacity and passion pours through while he pounds the drums as sweat is beating off his head and powerful lyrics drive the song forward like, “Put your hand in mine tonight, I will be here when you cry it out tonight. I will be here. Let’s raise our hands for a moment and leave it all behind. Don’t be afraid for a moment. The blind leading the blind.”

In a recent press release, Mumford shared about the track, “‘Blind Leading The Blind’ has been song we’ve had up our sleeves for some time, which ended up being a catalytic song for much of our work on Delta, its themes and feelings, but that we never got round to finishing in time to put it on the original release. We’re proud that we’ve finally finished it, as it feels like one of the most challenging songs, thematically, that we’ve put out there, both for ourselves and our audience. It feels it’s becoming harder and harder to coerce yourself into a listening, present and unafraid disposition, but that’s the gauntlet we’re throwing down for ourselves.”

Marcus Mumford also shared, “Working with Nick Davies made the process of making this an absolute privilege. Given our long history of work together, it was a complete joy to be under his direction again. We wanted to access the nature of the song, including some of its anger, introspection and even self-flagellation. A drum kit and an old sweaty laundry in Bangkok while on tour provided all we needed.”

Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
