Today fans of Grimes and the upcoming RPG Cyberpunk 2077 got a treat when Grimes was announced as a performer at the 2019 Games Awards. Turns out not only did they get to experience a brand new song called “4ÆM,” they also learned that the enigmatic vocalist and multi-instrumentalist will play a character in the game, the fictional pop star Lizzy Wizzy.

“4ÆM” will not only be included on the soundtrack for Cyberpunk 2077, it will also be included on Grimes’ upcoming new album Miss Anthroprocene. That record, which is her fifth full-length and follow up to 2015’s Art Angels, is out in February of 2020 and features previously released songs like “So Heavy I Fell Through The Earth,” “My Name Is Dark,” “Violence” and “We Appreciate Power.”

At tonight’s Games Awards, Chvrches performed their song “Death Stranding” from the Death Stranding soundtrack. The list of contributors to the Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack was also announced, and it includes Run The Jewels, Refused, A$AP Rocky, Ilan Rubin and more.
