James Hetfield

Welcome to Rockville has revealed its massive 2020 lineup. Celebrating its 10th year, Florida’s biggest rock experience is set to include two headlining sets from Metallica and one from Disturbed. Other acts include Lynyrd Skynyrd, Godsmack, Deftones, Social Distortion, The Offspring, Staind, Lamb of God, Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, Mastodon, Gojira, Royal Blood, Alter Bridge, The Pretty Reckless, Anthrax, Ghostemane, Hellyeah, Hollywood Undead and Bad Wolves. It is set to take place on May 8-10th at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. Passes for the festival are on sale now and includes a new two-day pass option. Festival-goers can purchase passes on the festival’s website.

As stated in a press release from the festival, this will be Lynyrd Skynyrd’s last show ever in the Northern Florida area.  Danny Wimmer, founder of Danny Wimmer Presents who puts on the festival, commented on Skynyrd’s return to the festival after making the move from Jacksonville to Daytona Beach. “After nine great years in Jacksonville, it was a difficult decision to move Welcome To Rockville to a new home – but it was a necessary decision for the festival to continue to grow and deliver the kind of experience that Florida’s rock fans deserve. I’m so humbled and honored that Lynyrd Skynyrd is coming with us to Daytona Beach to celebrate 10 years of Welcome To Rockville with their last-ever North Florida area show.” It was previously held at the TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida.

Throughout its 10-year run, it has provided top-quality lineups and memorable with this year’s headliners being Rob Zombie, The Prodigy, and Tool. Tool performed new material prior to their latest album’s release and the Foo Fighters brought out John Travolta and Billy Idol to perform the year prior. Other top acts such as Ozzy Osbourne, A Perfect Circle Def Leppard, Bring Me The Horizon and Slipknot have played the three-day festival.
