American singer and songwriters, Alicia Keys and Billie Eilish, guest stared on the popular “Late Late Show with James Cordon”, on Dec. 9, in Los Angeles, CA. The two performed Eilish’s song, “Ocean Eyes” as a duet, with Keys on the piano, as they both provided vocals.
The video starts off with Keys opening up the piano, while Eilish excitedly sits beside her. Keys requests the lights to be dimmed, and a pleasant blue light sets the mood for the slow, melodious song.
Keys’ fingers float across the keys, as she sings, with ease, in a smooth falsetto. Eilish joins in, matching Keys with a falsetto. Eilish sings her song, as keys plays the piano, smiling. The crowd is quiet, dead in awe, as the two continue singing.
The performance ends with the crowd cheering as the lights are turned back on. Keys and Eilish hug, as the crowed continues to roar.
“That was amazing,” Keys said to Eilish.
Recently, Eilish made her directorial debut with her music video, for her song “Xanny”. The video was released on Dec. 5, and has accumulated over 23 million views on YouTube. Eilish is set to play at IHeartRadio ALTer EGO on Jan. 18, 2020, in Los Angeles, CA, alongside The Lumineers, Coldplay, Blink-182, Rex Orange County and many more.
Keys is set to host the GRAMMY Awards in 2020 for the second time. The Grammys will take place at the Staples Center, in Los Angeles, CA, on Jan. 26.
“At first I did think last year was a one-time thing,” said Keys. “When the opportunity came back around, there was no question about returning as host of the GRAMMY Awards.”
