On Dec. 10, popular three-day music festival, Best Kept Secret, has dropped a massive lineup announcement for the 2020 festival, featuring Massive Attack, The National, Belle and Sebastian and many more. This upcoming year will be the eighth edition for the festival, taking place almost every year in the month of June.
The Best Kept Secret festival will be taking place between the dates of Jun. 12 – June 14, 2020, at the safari park of Beekse Bergen in Hilvarenbeek, The Netherlands. The festival offers the option for attendees to camp overnight at the camping fields, in the safari park.
Food trucks will be parked by the camping fields, giving attendees the option to either cook their own food, or buy food, for all meals of the day. There will also be the option to rent a cabin or a bungalow during the festival, for the entirety of the weekend.
Massive Attack has recently launched a major study of the music industry’s carbon emissions contribution. The duo pledged to map a thorough carbon footprint of the band tour cycles, and to present options that can be implemented to reduce emissions. At one point, the band was considering touring altogether in hopes of solving this crisis, but has decided against it to wait for a greater impact.
Weyes Blood, who is also performing at the festival, recently performed alongside popular musican, Lana Del Rey, and Zella Day in Seattle, WA in Oct. The three musicians sang Joni Mitchell’s song “For Free”, and originally posted a video on Instagram, showcasing their rehearsal.
Tickets for Best Kept Secret are currently on sale as of Dec. 10. Prospective attendees have the option to buy weekend tickets, day tickets, travel ticks and weekend + accommodation tickets. A discount, exclusively for the weekend pass, will be provided when attending the festival in a group larger than 10 people.
