The Residents have always been a mysterious bunch, they have never shared their true identity since their careers started back in 1965. Nine years after the Residents formed themselves as a group, they were able to release their debut album titled Meet The Residents. Ever since then they have been able to release over 60 studio albums, videos, and short films. The group’s original and out of this world sound has kept helping them gain so many loyal fans throughout the decade. Their music has been critically acclaimed by many organizations such as AllMusic, Pitchfork Media, Rolling Stone, and more.

Their shows at the MoMA will be promoting their legendary 1988 album God In Three Persons. The concept album has yet to be performed live. All of their wonderful lyrics and sound will be coming to life during these shows. The album is not just filled with simple music. It is filled with songs that make you feel like you are listening to poetry. If you can attend one of these shows, you will feel like you are a teenager again in your room daydreaming about the big things you will do in the future.

If you can attend a show, it will be a moment that your 1980s self will thank you for.

Johnny Quevedo: Ever since the beginning of my teenage years, writing and music have always been my passion. I am currently twenty years old, and I have realized that all I want to do in my life is to combine my love for music and writing together. I have always had a fascination of knowing the latest trends in music. I know a lot when it comes to certain artists and I constantly want to keep myself updated with the music industry as much as possible. There have been moments where I use words to pour out my heart and thoughts, and with all those little moments, it has helped me become the creative person I am today. My goal in life is to inspire others with my writing, it could either be with the articles that I am writing or even my poetry, I want others to be touched just like how my musical inspirations have touched me. I have always said that my version of success will be when I am pleased with the work environment I am apart of. I already know that being apart of mxdwn Music will be the start of that.
