Halestorm Announces North American Spring 2020 Tour Dates

For Pennsylvania-based Grammy winning hard rock band Halestorm, closing out the decade to bring in new one is shaping out to be a productive endeavor. The metal collective has just announced a thread of spring 2020 North American tour dates. As previously reported via Blabbermouth, Halestorm live tour “…dates kick off April 17 at Tampa, Florida’s 98Rockfest and wrap up on April 25 at WAAF’s Big Gig in Worcester, Massachusetts.” Halestorm’s most recent musical offering, last year’s Vicious, was the band’s fourth studio album via Atlantic Records.

The band has been teasing prospects of new material that may materialize next year, specifically when Halestorm’s front-woman Lzzy Hale “…alluded to working on a secret studio project this past summer but has given no further information.” Halestorm’s discography includes their self-tiled 2009 debut album, their sophomore album 2012’s The Strange Case Of…, followed by their third studio album 2015’s Into The Wild Life  and their fourth studio album 2018’s Vicious. The band’s current touring roster includes siblings Elizabeth “Lzzy” Hale (lead vocalist/guitar/piano/keyboards) and Arejay Hale (drums/backing vocals) respectively, Josh Smith (bass/backing vocals) and Joe Hottinger (lead guitar/backing vocals). Halestorm has just finished wrapping their tour with Godsmack and is expected to commence work on their follow-up album to 2018’s Vicious.

As previously reported in the aforementioned Blabbermouth article, the group will celebrate the 10th-anniversary of their debut breakout eponymous debut album 2009’s Halestorm. The band will release the “special package” 10th-anniversary edition vinyl on December 20 which will include “all-new artwork as well as pre-production demos and bonus material that tell the story of ‘how that first album came about and the struggles and wins and the things that happened through the music,’ according to guitarist Joe Hottinger. ” The album was spearheaded by the lead single “I Get Off”.

The aforementioned Blabbermouth article concluded with the crucial achievement for Halestorm came in 2012 when “…the band won its first Grammy in the category of ‘Best Hard Rock/ Metal Performance’ for ‘Love Bites (So Do I).’ According to the Grammy web site, Lzzy became the first woman to earn a Grammy in the category.”
