Clutch Debut Dialed-Up Cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Fortunate Son”

Clutch have premiered their cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival‘s “Fortunate Son” as part of The Weathermaker Vault Series which includes different covers of Camel, ZZ Top and a revised version of their own “Electric Worry” so far. The band recently performed with Hatebreed and the Dropkick Murphys in show described as an “Irish acoustic punk caveman naive tour” at the Palladium in October 2019. They also played at Psycho Las Vegas in the summer of 2019 along with bands like The Misfits, Mark Lanegan and many others.

The new track is part of a collection of recorded songs from the “Weathermaker Vault Series” which was released in the summer of 2019. The new music announcement earlier this year was made by frontman Neil Fallon who wrote, “Clutch has had some sorely needed time off since our last tour, but it didn’t take long for us to get bored, so we recorded some songs. We’ll be releasing them over the course of this summer. We’re calling them the ‘Weathermaker Vault Series.”

Clutch’s latest album, Book Of Bad Decisions sold 26,000 copies in America during its first week of availability, giving the group its third consecutive Top 20 album on the Billboard 200. Book Of Bad Decisions was recorded and completed at Sputnik Sound studio in Nashville, Tennessee with producer Vance Powell. The album cover was designed by renowned photographer Dan Winters.

Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
