English rapper, producer and trip-hop connoisseur, Adrian Nicholas Matthews Thaws, better known as, Tricky, released his new song, “Makes Me Wonder”, featuring touring vocalist Marta, on Nov. 26. Tricky is known for his mysterious music style, and showcased his melodic expertise through his newly released single.
Off the bat, the music video is evidently dark and enigmatic. The repetitive strumming and picking on the guitar set the stage for Marta to commence her singing. Her lax voice stays constant in a vocal range as she sings to the guitar.
Marta gloomily walks through the wet roads, from what appears to be the calm after the storm. The red colors and bright tunnel lights accentuate her mystic mood, as the trumpet plays to the strumming of the guitar.
Tricky released his latest album, Ununiform, in 2017, and has since released his autobiography, Tricky, on Oct. 31, 2019.
