Patreon Account Allegedly Started by R. Kelly’s Girlfriend Joycelyn Savage Is Shut Down

On Nov. 25, R. Kelly’s current girlfriend, Jocelyn Savage, allegedly began posting on Patreon, a membership platform, of how Kelly had allegedly promised her he would help kickstart her career as a model and musical artist. While supposedly holding these promises, Kelly allegedly restricted Savage’s relationship with her family members, allegedly requiring her to refer to him as ‘master’ or ‘daddy’.

Now, according to Pitchfork, Savage’s Patreon account has been deactivated, as of Nov. 26.

“I couldn’t talk to my parents in private sometimes,” Savages deleted Patreon post read. “I was told what to say on the phone to them.”

Savage later spoke of her experiences with her alleged lack of privacy with Kelly.

“I didn’t have any type of privacy at all now that I think about it,” Savage said. “If I showered, one of his assistants would have to be by the door.”

A Patreon spokesperson was contacted for a statement in regard to Savage’s terminated account:

“After multiple unsuccessful attempts to verify the identity of the account holder, we closed the Patreon page allegedly associated with Joycelyn Savage due to potential impersonation,” said the spokesperson. “All patrons who signed up for the membership page were refunded and the creator did not receive any funds.”

In response to the now deleted Patreon posts and account, R.Kelly’s attorney, Steve Greenberg, responded to the allegations in a statement to Variety.

“It is unfortunate that Jocelyn now seeks to make money by exploiting her long time, loving relationship with Robert,” said Greenberg. “Obviously, if she were to tell the truth, no one would pay so she has, unfortunately, chosen to regurgitate the stories and lies by others, for her own person profit.”

Kelly is set to appear on May 18, 2020 in Brooklyn, NY for the accusations of racketeering, kidnapping and sexual exploitation of a child.
