Deadmau5 Debuts Bouncy Techno Track “Coasted”

At the precipice, famed Canada-based DJ/musician/electronic music producer extraordinaire, Deadmau5‘s latest vibrantly bouncy techno groove “Coasted” is a cool refreshing plunge into the ethereal abyss. Born Joel Zimmerman, Deadmau5 dropped his latest musical offering, according to a press release, “Last Friday, deadmau5 released ‘SATRN,’ a piece of original material inspired by the new cubev3 that most fans will recognize from his current live show.  Today, November 22 arrives another new single featured in his cubev3 set, ‘COASTED.’” To listen to the radio edit edition of “Coasted” stream below, via YouTube.

The track “Coasted” opens up with repetitious ambient notes that precedes a bass that kicks the production up a notch to an entrancing EDM mantra of sounds. The groove is a spacey atmospheric vibe that touches on so many sonic beats Deadmau5 is accustomed to present in his arsenal of music. The track’s ambiance is one of tranquility and at the same time bombastic electronic elements that punch up the producer’s expansive catalogue of music. A similar vibe is present on the aforementioned “Satrn” a track just newly released by Deadmau5 that was inspired by his current cubev3 live set. According to Rolling Stone, “Cube V3 is a continuation of Deadmau5’s Cube live series, which debuted at Coachella in April 2010 and helped launch the producer into fame. This iteration of the show — which debuted this past March and features a central cube that can rotate 360 degrees — will continue touring North America into 2020, with a final set of shows at Brooklyn’s Great Hall at Avant Gardner, ending February 6th.”

With the impressive presentation of Cube v3, as previously reported here on mxdwn, Deadmau5’s “…fans can expect him to be one of the top EDM DJ’s for a long time.” Deadmau5 current tour dates are as follows:
