The Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Florida has just announced the first phase of its 2020 lineup and headliners, featuring Flume, Gesaffelstein, Major Lazer and Zedd presents The Orbit headlining. Other prominent DJs include Above & Beyond, Afrojack, Amelie Lens, Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox, David Guetta, DJ Snake, Eric Prydz, Jauz B2B NGHTMRE and Martin Garrix. Tickets can be purchased here.
This festival is set to take place in Miami’s Bayfront Park from March 20th to March 22nd, and will be the 22nd edition of the festival. Last year’s festival was held at the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park & Miami Marine Stadium and featured appearances from deadmau5, Odesza and Zedd.
Australian producer Flume dropped an EP entitled Quits with R&B performer and rapper Reo Crugan earlier this year. This new EP blended Flume’s signature electronic music style with Crugan’s alternative R&B performance.
“Reo’s got a great ability to adapt to whatever’s going on musically,” says Flume in a press release. “Whether it’s something on the slower side or something high energy he’s able to complement and engage with it in a way that’s quite unique. From the first session we were having fun and the music was good so we kept going. It’s a friendship as well. We’re friends outside of the studio so it’s just natural and fun to work together.”
Major Lazer also hosted a recent R&B collaboration with performer Khalid, for their new track “Trigger,” from the Death Stranding: Timefall soundtrack. The group recently teamed up with J. Balvin and El Alfa for the song “Que Calor.”
UPDATE (1/23): Ultra Music Festival has announced a second wave of artists. Added to the 2020 lineup are artists like Boys Noize, Kygo, Gorgon City, Gryffin, Sofi Tukker, Whethan, Tchami, Oliver Heldens, Krewella, Kill the Noise, Madeon, Eats Everything and Dash Berlin.
