Pop artist Kesha has released another music video in support of her upcoming album High Road, which is set to be released via Kemosabe/RCA Records on January 10. The video, entitled “My Own Dance,” was directed by  Allie Avital and produced by Jeff Kopchia, while the song was written by Kesha, John Hill, Justin Tranter and Dan Reynolds and produced by Kesha and John Hill.

This latest track is a call back to Kesha’s first break out single “Tik Tok,” which is shown throughout the performer’s sung/rapping performance and lyrics such as “Hung over as hell/like 2012.” The lyrics reference partying, but in an introspective way where the consequences on her psyche are the focus of the song, while the instrumental loops an acoustic guitar over a banging bass complimented with a trap beat.

The video is show outside a motel, where Kesha is shown waking up and pouring out a bowl of cereal, before walking out and running into a pair of twins. Kesha is later shown running into another room where people in animal masks are engaging in what appears to be a BDSM party,  singing in a small inflatable pool filled with cereal, and shopping at a market, before ending with Kesha letting her face sink into the inflatable pool.

This latest video follows up the video for “Raising Hell,” which parodies American televangelists.  These releases come at tenuous time for the performer, who is engaged in a five year long battle with her record label Kemosabe, which owned by producer Dr. Luke. This latest record is being released on the label, although it is unknown how many more projects she may have to release before she can leave the label.
