Wouldn’t it be thoughtful of Pearl Jam to release a vinyl edition of their 1992 MTV Unplugged performance? The seven-song vinyl will be released via Legacy Label as a Record Store Day exclusive release on this Black Friday, November 29th. Pearl Jam confirmed the release on Twitter.

Pearl Jam’s 1992 MTV Unplugged performance was recorded after the band was fresh off their first American tour in support of their debut album, Ten. Released in 1991, Ten was an important album that broke grunge and alternative rock into the mainstream. It was fused by Pearl Jam’s guitar-riff-heavy rock and Vedder’s distinctive vocals, which earned them remarkable favor from radio stations and MTV at that time.
The first-ever vinyl release of Pearl Jam’s MTV Unplugged performance includes a soundtrack “State Of Love and Trust” from the 1992 film, Singles, and consists of six tracks from album Ten, including “Even Flow,” “Alive,” “Black,” and “Jeremy.” Pearl Jam won video of the year for “Jeremey” at the 1992 MTV Music Video Awards, where Neil Young joined the band to perform a classic act on the stage.
The highly anticipated release is held by Record Store Day, who promises to release an amount of exclusive and limited-edition slabs of vinyl, featuring Tenacious D, Paul McCartney, U2, Jenny Lewis, and The Weeknd.
A deluxe edition reissues of Pearl Jam was announced by Sub Pop earlier this month. Check out more information about the reissue here. This summer, lead guitarist McCready of Pearl Jam supported the inaugural Peak to Sky Festival in Big Sky, Montana, alongside Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagen, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer, Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins and Brandi Carlile.
