Prominent electronic dance music producer Moby has decided to celebrate his 32nd year of being a vegan by displaying prominent tattoos which state “Animal Rights,” on his right and left arm respectively. These new tattoos go along with his “Vegan For Life” tattoos, which he sports on the side of his neck.
“As November is my 32 year vegan anniversary i thought i’d get a tattoo (well, technically 12 tattoos) to celebrate,” Moby explained in an Instagram post revealing his new tattoos. “I’m a vegan animal rights activist for many reasons, but ultimately because i believe at the core of my being that every animal has the right to live their own life, according to their own will.”
The DJ has been a lifelong animal rights supporter, and stated that rescuing a cat named tucker back in 1984 helped him turn vegetarian. A few years later, he became vegan, which he explained “I decided that just as I would never do anything to harm Tucker, or any of our rescued animals, I also would never do anything to harm any animal, anywhere.”
Earlier this year it as revealed that Moby had a connection into the investigation regarding Donald Trump’s relationship with Deutsche Bank. The performer also attracted mild controversy regarding his alleged relationship with Natalie Portman, which he apologized for. Check out our interview with Moby here.
