The mastermind behind the iconic Radiohead song “Creep,” is going on his own tour. Thom Yorke will bring his creativity on the Hammerstein Ballroom stage on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, and Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Before these two shows, he does have a Radio City Music Hall show, but it is already sold out! The doors for this non-restricted age show will open at 6:30 PM while music will start loving your ears at 8:00 PM. Tickets for these two shows range from $92.00 to $127.98.
We all know the success that Thom Yorke has had with his band Radiohead, but his solo career is just as iconic. In 2006, while Radiohead was in the middle of their hiatus, Yorke was able to work on his solo projects. During the middle of that summer, Yorke released his debut solo album titled The Eraser. This album peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 and was able to earn a Grammy nomination and even a Mercury Music Prize nomination. Yorke is able to find success in any project that he puts his heart into. It would be no surprise if his latest album Anima, finds the same success or even more.
This upcoming tour will be promoting the electronic and futuristic album that is Anima. It is an album that makes you feel like you are going through a musical journey. It’s electronic beats make you feel like you are experiencing a universe that you never imagined. It’s only a nine-track album, but this album leaves a mark with every second that you hear. On top of the beats, Yorke’s voice is a distinctive voice that will make you reminisce of your rock band phase.
It is no surprise how fast Yorke’s first show sold out before this happens again to the other two try to get those tickets ASAP! If his album feels like a musical journey, just imagine how everything will feel/sounds live.
