The Brooklyn native band will be returning back home for their upcoming tour. They will be playing at the Brooklyn Bowl from Wednesday, December 4, 2019, to Saturday, December 7, 2019. The doors for all of these 21 and over show will open at 6:00 PM, while the rock music will start playing around 8:00 PM. There are two types of tickets that you are able to buy. General Admission tickets begin at just the price of $40.00, but if you want to include the merch bundle that would make everything a total of $80.00.
The Hold Steady was formed back in 2003, a year after they formed, they released their debut album Almost Killed Me. This album was able to earn a place on Rolling Stones 100 Best Albums of the Decade. Seven albums later, all of their success as a band and from their albums has been acknowledged by Pitchfork, Billboards, and Rolling Stone. Throughout their discography, most of their songs have some sort of narrative that involves religion and drug use, making most of their songs consistent with each other. The Hold Steady are more than songwriters, and a rock band, they are storytellers as well.
During their tour, they will bring their stories to life by promoting their recent album Thrasing Thru the Passion. This album is filled with ten songs that would make you feel like you stepped back into the early 2000s. The combination of drums and guitar in each song will have you headbanging for the full 37 minutes of this album. Thrashing Thru the Passion has everything a rock album needs, amazing instrumentals, a raspy yet light voice, and dark lyrics that remind you of your youth.
If you are able to make any of these concerts, The Hold Steady will make you feel like you are experiencing the stories that they love to write about. It would be an experience you won’t forget.
