The NOS Alive festival, which takes place in the Algés riverside, in Oeiras, Portugal, has announced its 2020 lineup featuring Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Caribou and Da Weasal. More artists will be announced in the future, however July 9th to July 11th have been set as the days for the massive European festival.
Last year’s lineup featured The Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure and Bon Iver, however previous lineups have hosted the Arctic Monkeys, Queens of The Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Foo Fighters and Depeche Mode in the past. The festival began in 2007, and has been taking place in the Algés riverside for over a decade.
Swift is also making an appearance next year the the Mad Cool Festival in Madrid Spain, alongside artists such as the Pixies, Alt-J, Tove Lo, and Twenty One Pilots. The artist is currently making plans to re-record her back catalog as a result of a deal falling through with Scooter Braun.
Eilish is also set to make an appearance at the Mad Cool Festival next year as well, which is set to coincide with her Where Do We Go tour. She recently joined Alanis Morisette and Sinead O’Connor as the only female artists with multipel number ones on the alternative song charts.
Caribou has recently ended a recording hiatus, dropping his first new song in five years entitled “Home” earlier this month. The track took a retro feel to its production and features inspiration and a sample from the Gloria Barnes track of the same name.
UPDATE (1/23): NOS Alive has announced more artist for its 2020 lineup. These performers include The Strokes, Kendrick Lamar, The Lumineers, Jorja Smith, Cage the Elephant, Alec Benjamin, London Grammar and Black Pumas.
