Kanye West Debuts Long-Anticipated Album Jesus Is King Featuring Timbaland, Kenny G, Labrinth, Ty Dolla $ign and More

After what seemed like an eternity to some fans, Kanye West has finally released his long awaited, highly anticipated album, Jesus is King. The album features contributions from Ty Dolla $ign, Clipse, Kenny G, Timbaland, Pi’erre Bourne, E*vax of Ratatat, CyHi the Prynce, Ronny J, Labrinth, Francis and the Lights, Mike Dean, Ant Clemons, Fred Hammond and many more. Kanye first announced the album back in August of 2018 under the name Yandhi, but after the album missed its first two initial drop dates in September and November under its original name, it was delayed indefinitely. But on August 29th of this year Kim Kardashian-West posted to her twitter that the album was set to be released on September 27th, the tweet was later confirmed by Kanye West. But to the disappointment of many fans the album was once again pushed back.

But on October 12th during one of Kanye’s infamous Sunday Services at George Washington University, he played snippets from the project as well as the release date for his Jesus is King album. Dropping hints to those in attendance that October 25th is going to be big day, and to the surprise of many fans those statements were actually true. On October 23rd West previewed Jesus is King at an event in Los Angeles, he then sat down with Zane Lowe for a two hour interview in which the rapper claims that he is, “unquestionably, undoubtedly, the greatest human artist of all time.” Kanye also claims that the reason this album was delayed so much was because in his words, “I’m making it better for ya’ll.”

Jesus is King is heavily influenced by West’s religion. If it wasn’t obvious in the name, Kanye West has been hosting what he calls Sunday Services all over the country. There isn’t a lot known about these services, these mysterious gatherings are only allowed to a select few and combine Kanye’s love of music, fashion, and Jesus Christ.
