Lizzo Debuts Anthemic Pop Remix to Single “Good As Hell” Featuring Ariana Grande

Lizzo’s name has been all over the music scene for the past two months, topping the Billboard 100 for the 7th straight week, which is tied for the longest reign amongst female rap artists. Ever since her hit song “Truth Hurts,” was released fans can’t get enough of her, and now they have something else to be excited for. Lizzo’s platinum selling, “Good as Hell,” is about to get a hell of a lot better, recruiting the iconic pop star, Ariana Grande, for a new pop remix on her 2016 hit song.

“Good as Hell” was originally released on the Barbershop: Next Cut soundtrack, but her Ariana Grande remix offers more of an anthem feel for women alike. The empowering lyrics are complemented by a powerful beat that combined with the melody offers an encouraging vibe that makes you want to sing along. The anthemic pop remix to “Good as Hell” can be heard below.

2019 has been a career year for Lizzo releasing her Nice Life Recording Company debut album. Her critically acclaimed CUZ I LOVE YOU was released on April 19th and debuted at #6 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart, which marked the first time in her career she broke the Billboard 200. CUZ I LOVE YOU is also Lizzo’s first #1 pop album, #1 digital album, #1 new release debut album, and #2 on Billboard top albums chart. But her incredible year doesn’t stop there, she has also been nominated for 3 AMA awards in the categories of New Artist of the Year, Favorite Female Artist (Soul/R&B) and Favorite Song (Soul/R&B).

Earlier in the year Lizzo came under some heat after her, “Truth Hurts,” was accused of being plagiarized from The Raisens and Rothman. The group claimed that the rapper had stolen the melody, lyrics, and chords from a collaboration project the two worked on earlier in their careers. Lizzo subsequently denied all accusations stating that, “There was no one in the room when I wrote ‘Truth Hurts,’ except me, Ricky Reed, and my tears. That song is my life, and its words are my truth.” Lizzo’s lawyer further claimed that the allegations are a bad faith effort as the plagiarism claims come on the forefront of the songs commercial success. “Truth Hurts” landed on the Billboard top 100 earlier this year when the song was released over two years ago, raising many red flags for Lizzo’s attorney.
