The Sweetwater 420 Fest in Atlanta, Georgia, has announced its 2020 line-up featuring the supergroup Oysterhead, Gary Clark Jr. and Dr. Dog, which is set to take place from April 24th-26th, 2020 at Centennial Olympic Park. This will mark Oysterhead’s third appearance set for 2020, the year which sees their return to the stage after a 13 year hiatus.
Oysterhead features bassist Les Claypool of Primus, guitarist Trey Anastasio of Phish and drummer Stewart Copeland of The Police, who are scheduled to perform two shows on February 14th and 15th 2020 at 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado. Anastasio will be pulling double duty at Sweetwater 420, as he will also be performing with the Trey Anastasio Band.
Other performers scheduled for the festival include Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Larkin Poe, Funk You, Lake Street Dive, The Marcus King Band, and Delta Rae, while more than 30 other artists are expected to be announced in the near future.
Blues performer Gary Clark Jr. recently released a nostalgic music video for his song “Pearl Cadillac,” which appeared on his most recent album release The Land. The video, directed by Clément Oberto, was shot on 35 mm film stock, and shows Clark driving a vintage Cadillac Deville, across Los Angeles. The performer described the track and video as an apology for being “a punkass kid, always sneaking out, stealing her car,[and] getting into trouble.”
Dr. Dog released their latest album Critical Equations last year. The band also joined Shakey Graves with Liz Cooper & The Stampede at Pier 17 earlier this year.
