Kitten Debuts Music Video for Single “Me”

Kitten released a new track, “Me” which is a pop-song and her new video shows lead singer, Chloe Chaidez in an angst mode, trying to rid herself of negative focus with cameras focusing on her all the time. In the song, she defends herself describing how she feels about people who don’t really know the real her, so to speak. She cries out, “You don’t know me. You don’t know what it’s like to be me. Sick of them pretending to know me. You don’t know me.” The video was directed by Tsarina Merrin and produced by Mike Shinoda. The video deals with the difficulty in tackling frustrations of living in our “everything-is-filmed” modern world, and the inability to truly know someone in spite of the wealth of content they may or may not share.

Kitten also released their new EP, Goodbye Honeymoon Phase via Red Music. The new album features “Memphis”,“Goodbye Honeymoon Phase”, “Distraction”, “Friday’s No Fun Anymore”and more. In support of the new music, Kitten just recently announced that they will be joining the Waterparks “Fandom Tour” presented by The Noise this winter. The band is set to open the show starting December 3 in Detroit and wrapping on December 23 in Houston. Tickets for Kitten’s shows are available on the band’s website.

Last year, the band released their Pink Champagne EP which ushered in a new era for the group. After a year of touring with Smashing Pumpkins, New Order, Girlpool, Hatchie, and Blue October, the band immersed themselves in the Los Angeles music scene and worked with Dorian Electra to Smashing Pumpkins’ James Iha. At the same time, Chaidez immersed herself in Nasty Cherry, a new project created by pop luminary Charli XCX. Writing and collaborating with Charli proved an invaluable learning experience, and left Chaidez eager to push her own musical boundaries.

Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
