Holy Wars’ Kat Leon Releases Debut EP This Is How The World Ends

Kat Leon of Holy Wars has released the debut of her first EP as a solo artist entitled This Is How The World Ends, via Position Music. The performer is set to make her debut as a solo act at the Hi Hat in Los Angeles, California on November 6th, where she will be joined by special guests Naika, Badtooth and Roman The Cartoon.

The title track “This Is How The World Ends,” begins with a spacey instrumental, with ambient strings, a simple piano line and vocal overlays on top of Leon’s somber vocal delivery. The track build up during the bridge and chorus sections, where the instrumental is greeted by a grand drum line, giving the track a feeling of grandeur.

Holy Wars are an indie rock duo featuring Leon and Nicolas Perez, who are known for blending in numerous elements of pop and darkwave music into their songs. Leon is notable for her thematic songwriting, which often deals with feelings of self-doubt and desperation, which are complimented by her ability as a dynamic singer, where she is able to channel various emotions with ease.

The band released the track “Legend,” earlier this year, which is featured on the group’s EP Unholy. Before this single the group debuted “Born Dark,” which was produced by AFI’s Hunter Burgan. They debuted the project Mother Father back in 2017.
