Kanye West May Have Confirmed New October 2019 Release for Jesus Is King & Explains Delay Was Because He Was “Making It Better”

All good things come to those who wait. It seems the wait for Kanye West’s new album is almost over. According to Entertainment Weekly, Jesus Is King is tentatively set to release on October 25. Kanye West left subtle hint at the “Jesus is King: A Kanye West Experience,” a Sunday Service at the George Washington University on Saturday.

During the listening and screening experience at George Washington University, West released samples from his upcoming album Jesus is King. The artist stressed the influence of religion, which is believed the new album reflects religious themes. West later showed a teaser video from his IMAX film Jesus is Lord, staring himself at his Sunday Service. West specifically told the crowd that October 25 will be a big day, dropping a hint of the new release date.

In support of his upcoming album, West previously held a Jesus Is King event inside the United Palace Theatre on September 29 in New York. The artist announced his IMAX film Jesus is Lord will be arriving this month. Considering the worldwide debut of the new documentary, the new release date October 25 of Jesus is King stands to reason.

The course of waiting for Kanye West’s new album is seeming as the course of riding a roller coaster. Last August, Kanye announced the new album, under the name Yandhi, would drop in 2018.  But Yandhi came to an end when the artist missed the first two initial release dates in September and November, leaving unconfirmed speculations. This August, Kim Kardashian West’s twitter surprisingly announced West’s new album under the name of Jesus Is King was scheduled for September 27. The date was being pushed back on September 29 when West was at a Sunday Service in Detroit at the Aretha Franklin Amphitheater. After missing the two promised dates, the artist updated a new tentative date of October 25 on Saturday. West explained the delay of the album because “I’m making it better for ya’ll.”

West had a busy 2018. Back in June of last year, Kanye West released a solo album called Ye one week prior to the special music project with Kid Cudi called KIDS SEE GHOSTS. West also produced Pusha T’s DAYTONA and Nas’ NASIR.
