Kaada debuts Music Video for New Single “Farewell”

Kaada has released a new music video for his new single “Farewell.” The beautifully shot visual was filmed by award-winning director and longtime collaborator Christian Holm-Glad. The video was shot at many locations across the globe including Los Angeles, Shanghai, Romania, Iceland and Norway. “The ‘Farewell’ music video wraps up much of what I wanted to say with the Closing Statements album,” stated Kaada. “The video is about different people saying goodbye to major things.”

Holm-Glad also chimed in the press release about the video, stating “As people, we are scared to make changes. We are afraid of being alone. We are afraid of not making money, so we do the same routines every day. We are risk adverse, but when you dare to do something else, it is often the best decision in life.” See the visual below.

“Farewell” is a track off of his most recent LP Closing Statements released last year. It received much critical acclaim including high-fidelity ranking from mxdwn, calling it a “flower that grows between sidewalk cracks.” Following its release, Kaada discussed the new album with mxdwn. “I just started surfing around on the internet about what people say on death row before they die. There has just been a lot of interesting stuff that people have said. Most people don’t necessarily say anything clever, or words of wisdom, but it’s very interesting that it’s the last thing that people say,” Kaada says about some inspirations from the album.

Earlier this year, it was announced that he will be scoring the soundtrack for ZombieLars, a drama-comedy series geared towards kids aged 8-12.
