Dead Can Dance have announced an extensive North and South American tour. The first show takes place on April 17, 2020, in Philadelphia, PA. Following the tour dates, Dead Can Dance will perform across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia and Peru before warping up with two shows on May 24, 26 in Santiago, Chile.
The English-Australian neoclassical darkwave band consists of vocalist Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry, who focus on the mixed creation of European folk music and ambient pop. Their last American performance dates back to 2013’s Coachella. The upcoming Spring 2020 Tour marks Dead Can Dance’s return after 7 years of absence.
Dead Can Dance’s music acts at Athens’ stunning Odeon of Herodes Atticus Amphitheatre in the Spring of 2019 European tour were packed. The band is set to perform classics, such as “The Host Of Seraphim,” “The Carnival Is Over,” and “Yulunga,” for their journey in North America.
Blue Note Records’ acclaimed Danish artist Agnes Obel will support Dead Can Dance’s trek as a special guest, featuring in the shows from Philadelphia to Mexico City. Find the band’s tour schedule below.
