Prong Announces New Album Age of Defiance for November 2019 Release

Following their announcement earlier this year, Prong has announced their new EP, Age of Defiance with a Nov. 29 release date. The five-track record will feature two brand-new songs and three live cuts. It’s lead single “End of Sanity” will be released  Oct. 25.  In a press release, a Prong mastermind described the single as “a thrash/hardcore/crossover number in typical Prong style which I wrote especially for our American tour with Agnostic Front. If you’re into Prong, you’ll love this track.” “Age of Defiance,” the other new track,  is described as a “pretty unusual for Prong”. “It’s extremely powerful, with a great groove, haunting chorus, everything’s fresh and contemporary.”  The three live cuts are songs from the band’s discography. ‘Rude Awakening’ ‘Another Worldly Device’ and ‘Cut Rate’ from the 1994 major label album release Cleansing, which the band re-released recently in honor of its 25th anniversary.

Age of Defiance is the follow up to 2017’s Zero Days. The band is currently on the road with Agnostic Front, with a handful of west coast tour dates left. See the list of the west coast shows below.
