Third Eye Blind Debuts New Video for “Screamer” Featuring Alexis Krauss of Sleigh Bells

Third Eye Blind

Third Eye Blind released a new video for “Screamer” a song which features Alexis Krauss of Sleigh Bells. The new song, along with “The Kids Are Coming (to Take You Down)” will be on their new album, Screamer out October 18. The new video features a young lady who seems to be suffering from an abusive relationship and seeks refuge in a support group who are encouraging her to find her voice and channel her anger and pain into screaming. Eventually she is able to scream at the top of her lungs and release all the angst she has been feeling.

Krauss says, “It was fun to bring my Sleigh Bells screaming skills to the screen, ‘Screamer’ is a cathartic song and this video captures that essence of release, relief and renewal. I hope this video inspires you to let it all go and get loud!”

Both Krauss and Stephan Jenkins volunteer as climbing and surf instructors. Alexis is one of the founders of Young Women Who Crush (YWWC), a climbing and leadership development program that provides opportunities for high school girls in the NYC area to experience the physical and mental benefits of rock climbing. Stephan teaches surfing to veterans with PTSD, as part the Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation’s Ocean Therapy program.

“I see a lot of parallels between holding a mic out to the crowd and the catharsis in the Screamer clip,” says Jenkins. “I’ve been a Sleigh Bells fan since Treats so I was delighted that Alexis could make it to the shoot. I am happy to say that she stole every scene. “

Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
