The sweet baby angel sisters of the band HAIM joined up with famed band Vampire Weekend at their sold-out Hollywood Bowl show in Los Angeles, California this past October 2, 2019. The ever-evolving bands got together on stage to collaborate for the songs, “This Life,” “Hold You Now” and a few more songs that left the audience in an endearing mood. The 3 sisters of the band HAIM, have been very busy touring over the past few years but they made time to come out to be with Vampire Weekend for a spectacular performance.
During “This Life,” all 3 members of HAIM and Vampire Weekend sang and danced to the alt-rock song. It was like being thrown back in time with subtle dance moves and simple interjections of the song sung by HAIM. Both bands enjoyed this number and it shows. The performance is seen here below.
Vampire Weekend and Danielle Haim took center stage for the song “Hold You Now.” The lyrics sung by Haim in the second portion of the song got the audience going. Singing, “I can’t hold you forever, but I can hold you now”, it was clear that Danielle was having an emotional moment with the audience. The performance is seen here below.
During the song “Jerusalem, New York, Berlin” Vampire Weekend lead singer Ezra Koenig and HAIM frontwoman Danielle Haim wowed the audience with beautiful harmonies. This song was also performed by the duet on Jimmy Fallon earlier this year. The biggest difference between the previous performance and this one was the incredible musical breakdown the song included. The piano solo in the middle of the song started small and turned into a pleasing instrumental jam session. The performance is seen here below.
