Man Stabbed to Death Outside of Amon Amarth and Arch Enemy Show in Canada

A concertgoer in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada was stabbed outside of show featuring Amon Amarth and Arch Enemy, yesterday September 30th. According to the Canadian public news station CTV, the man who was in his mid 30s, was leaving the Edmonton Convention Centre at around 10 pm after the concert, before he was involved in a fight and stabbed.

News reports state that there were many bystanders who had witnessed the event after the concert, which allowed them to hold the suspect until police officers arrived on the scene. Several intersections near the scene closed down as the stabbing victim was taken to the Royal Alexandra hospital.

Further reports state that the suspect’s dog was tied to a pole near the scene of the crime, and that the suspect may have been riding a bike around the crime scene. As of press time, police have not given an update regarding the victim’s condition, however homicide detectives have been investigating the situation, which was caught on surveillance cameras near the area. The victim was taken into the hospital alive, however an officer at the scene stated said that the victim’s condition “wasn’t looking good.”

Amon Amarth are currently on tour with Arch Enemy, and are currently scheduled to perform in Calgary, Alberta, Canada tonight. The tour began last week in Seattle, Washington and is expected to conclude in Los Angeles, California later this month.

The Swedish metal band debuted a music video for “Shield Wall” earlier this week, which showed historically accurate account of Viking history. The track was originally featured on their album Berserker, which was released in May of this year.
