Dido Joins Rollo and Sister Bliss of Faithless as R Plus, Debut Album The Last Summer Announced for October 2019 Release

R Plus announced their debut album The Last Summer is set out on October 11 via Loaded Records. Founded by Rollo Armstrong and supported by Dido and Sister Bliss, each individual of R Plus has carved their own unforgettable visual presence in the music arena even before this debut.

Sister Bliss and Rollo are long-time collaborators, who both are members of British electronica band Faithless, alongside with Maxi Jazz. English singer/songwriter Dido first rose to international fame in the 90s. The quintessential downtempo crossover artist gained wide popularity with the issue of two of the U.K.’s best-selling albums, No Angel and Life for Rent. Dido recently won 2019’s Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors. Her recent album Still on My Mind was released this March, which boasts production credits from her brother Rollo.

Based on such close ties, the chemistry amongst R Plus has been sparked before the moniker R Plus was unveiled. According to a press, “The Last Summer is an album looking back on a summer past: trying to capture the heat, the haze, the friendship and love, the madness and euphoria- sometimes a bit of peace but never much sleep: and, of course, it’s all a little bittersweet, because it’s over, it’s gone, it’s done.” With Rollo’s talented production, Dido’s excellent songwriting and Sister Bliss’s gifted composition, the wait of R Plus’ debut album would be worthy. So, stay tuned!
