Metal bands Municipal Waste and the fathers of grindcore Napalm Death recently announced their co-headlining tour for this fall, featuring Sick Of It All and Take Offense. However, fans might be disappointed to learn about the absence of singer/bassist Shane Embury of Napalm Death on that tour. He announced the news on Facebook, according to BrooklynVegan. Embury states he will be absent from the tour because of “circumstances beyond anyone’s control.” His “long-time friend” Vernon Blake will take over the bassist duty and tour with Napalm Death:
“Hey Friends …
Due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, I will not be able to grind on the US tour with Sick of It All and Municipal Waste. Driving the bass bulldozer will be Vernon Blake, long-time friend and veteran grindcore/hardcore dealer with his Rigid Records label.”
The 17-shows tour stops by major cities in the United States, such as Houston, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The first show is on October 3 at Gas Monkey Live in Dallas. Check out the full itinerary below. A couple of months ago, Napalm Death issued their update of the new album, which is set to release in early 2020.
