A positive message is received in the bands fourth studio album
Indie pop-rock group Fitz and the Tantrums are back with their highly anticipated fourth album after a grueling three years. Since 2008, the six-person group has consistently made music that speaks to people in such euphoric ways and All The Feels is no different. Michael Fitzpatrick, aka Fitz, takes the name of their newest album seriously by creating 17 brand new tracks filled to the brim with all the feels.
By bringing soulful lyrics to life through party anthem songs, Fitz and the Tantrums carry weight on their shoulders to create music that continues to make their fans dance. In All The Feels, the band finds their known sound and rhythm through tracks like “I Just Wanna Shine” and “Hands Up.” Each track carries a hypnotic melody that can carry the listener away into a land of no worries. The overlying theme of All The Feels can be found between the lines. Though each track is eagerly ready for the dance floor, the lyrics subtly remind those listening to remain calm and to continue to create a positive world while life’s hardships pass us by.
“123456” starts off as a synth dream that Fitz then turns into a message about staying positive. “OCD” becomes an ’80s anthem that spotlights the struggles of having anxieties. When it comes to songs with a slower tempo and a bit of a darker feel, “Dark Dayzz” takes the role of a somber eye-opening experience.
All The Feels is classic Fitz and the Tantrums music. With a few differences from three years ago, it’s hard to differentiate their most recent music from their past. Though it might be considered a bad thing to not branch out from a certain genre of music to another, Fitz and the Tantrums stick to a rhythm they know dear to their heart and make it work time and time again. All The Feels takes the best part of a band on the rise and allows it to flourish.
