The Band’s self-titled album was released in 1969. The classic guitar-infused tracks bring back memories of yesteryear. The music was used to fight the power of government suppression and vocalize humanity. Brothers and sisters came together to listen to this allegorical-style music group, with stories galore. The year itself was full of American historical events such as the Manson murders, Woodstock, the moon landing and the Stonewall riots; listening to The Band became a popular way to escape tense times.

The Band’s iconic album is now being placed on a 50th anniversary vinyl which includes six unreleased outtakes. Fans are gearing up for some real folk songs with originality. The Band’s anniversary vinyl will include their live Woodstock performance as well as outtakes from studio time. The anniversary vinyl will be available for purchase in November 2019, on the date of their 50th anniversary.

Rolling Stone says, The Band reissue, available to preorder now, will be released in several formats. This will include a super deluxe edition box set with two CDs, a Blu-ray version, as well as two vinyl long-playing albums, with seven-inch vinyl single and a  hardbound book.
