mxdwn PREMIERE: Dream Phases Blend Country, Folk and Psychedelia on New Single “Confusion”

Five-piece psych rock band Dream Phases are taking the next step in their evolution when they release their new album So Long, Yesterday on October 18. To tease that upcoming LP, the band will be releasing a new song called “Confusion” and you can hear it here first! Over gently strummed acoustic guitars, a fuzzed-out electric guitar leads us into the journey that is “Confusion.” Frontman and lead singer Brandon Graham has a touch of Mick Jagger attitude in his vocal delivery, cutting through the dreamy instrumental mix that draws from modern Los Angeles psychdelia as much as the Laurel Canyon sound.

Dream Phases began as a bedroom project of Graham, evolving into what it is today – a full-blown psychedelic rock quintet. After releasing EPs and singles over the years, So Long, Yesterday marks the band’s debut full-length. “Confusion” follows the previously-released single from the upcoming album, a track called “Frightened Man.” So Long, Yesterday will be released on Nomad Eel Records and Lunar Ruins.
