Wiki Collaborates with Madlib to Debut Vibrant New Single “Eggs”

New York rapper Wiki collaborates with California producer, Madlib, to debut hot new single, “Eggs.” This is the first new single from Wiki since his February track, “Cheat Codes.” However, don’t let the absence of music fool you, Wiki has been busier than ever getting his own record label started, and “Eggs” is the debut track for his label, Wikset Enterprises. But he promises that “Eggs” is “the first of a number of new releases to come from Wiki before the close of 2019.”

“Eggs” gives off that classic gritty, hardcore New York style rap that reminds of you of the early days of hip-hop. Wikis flow reminds you of a young Joey Bada$$ and his lyricism is just as reassuring of that, while Madlib delievers anoter classic beat with a smooth sounding kick and a melodic sounding sample. There are plenty of drops in the beat to help emphasize some of Wiki’s more intellectual lyrics. Wiki is an excellent example of fusing moden rap with old school hip-hop to let the best of both worlds shine through. You can listen to the first single from Wikset Enterprises below.

As busy of a year as it’s been for Wiki, Madlib himself has been steady grinding as well. He teamed up with rapper Freddie Gibbs to deliever, “Bandana,” another classic between the two. Madlib and Gibbs saw commercial success with their collaboration album, Piñata, back in 2014 due to their equally unique styles.

Wiki will be performing at the Mad Liberation music festival in New Jersey on August 3rd. The festival will also include performances from Priya, Mansion Ent, DJ Seta, Sadaf, and more.
