Download Festival UK Announces Full Lineup Including Gojira, Iron Maiden, System of a Down and More

UK’s Download Festival has announced its initial lineup for their 2020 edition.  KISS, Iron Maiden, System of a Down, Deftones, Korn and Disturbed are set to play the three-day festival, taking place June 12-14th at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England. Other acts included on the already stacked lineup are The Offspring, Gojira, Alestorm, Black Veil Brides, Daughtry and Of Mice & Men. More acts are to be announced at a later date.

According to Consequence of Sound, KISS’ headlining set is slated to be their last ever show in the UK, as they are currently on the road for their “End of the Road” farewell tour. Gene Simmons stated “I’ve said it before, Download Festival audiences are the best. They are up for whatever is thrown at them. KISS is going to come fully prepared to rock their world in 2020 to say, ‘Thank You for always showing up for us’.” Passes can be purchased via the festival’s website.

This will be Iron Maiden’s seventh time performing at the annual festival. Recently, it was reported that the band sold out their Rock in Rio shows in less than 2 hours, which is a whopping 90,000 tickets. The festival will take over two weekends, Sept. 27-29 and Oct.3-6th. Other acts include Scorpions, Megadeth and Sepultura.
