Refused Announces Winter 2020 Tour Dates with Metz and Youth Code

The Swedish hardcore punk band, Refused, shook the punk scene when they dropped their new album, Freedom, for the first time in 17 years back in 2015. But the bands frontman Dennis Lyxzén says their new album, War Music, is “the record that people wanted us to do last time.” War Music is the fifth full-length studio album recorded by Refused and is set to be released globally on October 18th through Spinefarm/Search & Destroy. You can now pre-order the album.

On top of the exciting news about a new album, fans of Refused have something else to be ecstatic about. The group has announced an American tour for the fall of 2020, and will be their first performance in the United States since May 2019. The tour will start at the 9:30 club in Washington, D.C., before making its way through Canada and a few Midwestern states, then finishing up at the 1720 Warehouse in Los Angeles, California. Supporting Refused on their tour will be fellow punk bands Metz and Youth Code with Metz only appearing on the West Coast performances of the tour.

VIP Tickets and CD/Vinyl bundles go on sale Wednesday September 25th at 10am and can be purchased here, while all other general sale tickets will go on sale Friday September 27th at 10am. After a 14-year break the group reunited in 2012 to play a string of festivals including the mainstream festival of Coachella. The band was subsequently awarded the “Special Prize for Music Exports” by the Swedish Ministry of Trade in 2013 pushing them to release their much anticipated album, Freedom.
