Saturday marked the kickoff to Lana Del Rey’s, Norman F*cking Rockwell tour, and there was no better to get it started. Performing to a packed crowd at The Jones Beach Theater in New York, the singer was accompanied by an offspring of icons, Leonard Cohen’s son, Adam Cohen, and John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s son, Sean Lennon.
The concert just so happen to land on the 85th birthday of late singer-songwriter legend Leonard Cohen’s, and it was fitting that his son, Adam Cohen, was the first to join Lana Del Rey on stage to sing her cover of Leonard’s song, “Chelsea Hotel No. 2.” Lana covered the song herself back in 2013 and the pair has recently performed the song together on the one year anniversary of Leonard Cohen’s death.
On top of sharing that special moment with the fans in attendance, Lana welcomed another iconic musicians offspring to the stage, Sean Lennon. The two performed their collaborative track, “Tomorrow Never Comes,” from Lana’s 2017 album Lust for Life. Her most recent album, Norman F*cking Rockwell, was released on August 30th and was the follow up to her wildly successful Lust for Life. She is currently touring for Norman F*cking Rockwell and will make a few stops in California before going on the European leg of the tour. You can get tickets to her remaining shows here. According to Conquest of Sound her set list for New Jersey show included songs like, Born to Die, Blue Jeans, Cherry, White Mustang, and more!
