MS MR’s Lizzy Plapinger has announced a new fall tour this year under the name LPX. Fellow musicians Marina of Marina and the Diamonds, X Ambassadors, and Bloc Party will join the singer at select shows. The tour kicked off in Central Park and will continue to make its trek across North America. Stops include Washington D.C., Chicago, Dallas, New Orleans, and New York, concluding with a show in Los Angeles, CA Nov. 21. Tickets for the outing go on sale Friday at 10 am local time. LPX is currently supporting her latest EP Junk of the Heart, released earlier this year. Two singles have been released from the pop filled record called “Give Up the Ghost” and “Global Warming.” The EP serves as the follow up to 2018’s EP Bolt in the Blue. Plapinger spoke with mxdwn about her music, working with MSMR, and her record label, Neon Gold Records. “MS MR isn’t over by any means but it’s gonna be a second before new music or tour comes. The door isn’t shut, it’s just not on the near horizon.” She continued to say that “things are great with Max and me but we are really just doing our own thing. He’s doing really well writing and producing in LA with a bunch of other people and I feel that LPX is just getting off the ground.”
